Fly-In to Masai Mara National Reserve
Your 4 days Masai Mara safari begins with a hotel or airport pick-up in Nairobi and a transfer to Wilson Airport for your short scheduled flight to the Masai Mara. On arrival at the airstrip, your driver-guide will be waiting to transfer you to camp for check-in and lunch. In the afternoon, head straight out on your first game drive across the reserve's open plains — an introduction to the Mara's resident lion prides, elephant herds, giraffe, topi and plains game. Dinner and overnight at Basecamp Masai Mara.
Full Day in the Masai Mara
Rise early for a morning game drive — the best window to catch both nocturnal and diurnal wildlife before the midday heat sends animals back to the shade. Return to camp for breakfast, then head back out with a packed picnic lunch for a full day exploring the reserve, including a drive to the famous Mara River, site of the Great Wildebeest Migration river crossings. Morning Game Drive, Guided Walk & Fly Back to Nairobi
Start the day with one last early morning game drive at the conservancy, followed by a guided walking safari with a Maasai guide — getting closer to the smaller details of the bush, from tracks and insects to medicinal plants, that you simply can't experience from a vehicle. Return to camp for breakfast, then transfer to the airstrip for your short flight back to Nairobi.
