Itinerary

Day 1: Arusha - Tarangire National Park

This morning, we head to Tarangire for a guided game drive in the park located slightly off the main safari route. Tarangire National Park is a lovely quiet park in Northern Tanzania most famous for its elephant migration, and birding safari with a quiet atmosphere.

In the evening, we will pass by a shopping market on the way to the Karatu area for dinner and overnght

Day 2: Ngorongoro Conservation Area

After breakfast you will depart for Ngorongoro crater. The crater supports up to 25,000 large mammals. Grazers dominate: zebra, wildebeest – accounting for almost half the animals – gazelle, buffalo, eland, hartebeest and wart hog. Giraffe, for example, stay away because there is insufficient food at tree level; Topi because they compete directly with wildebeest. An odd feature of the crater elephants is that they are almost exclusively bulls. Breeding herds – comprising large numbers of females and young with a few attendant older males – are probably unable to find sufficient quality food in the crater.

Ngorongoro has carnivores in quantity, drawn by the large herds of prey animals. It has the densest population of large predators, mainly lion – about 100 – and more than 400 spotted hyenas, living in eight clans of up to eighty individuals. Both lions and hyenas will scavenge from each other, depending on weight of numbers and of course, hunger. In the early evening drive to your lodge.

02
Day 3: Ngorongoro - Central Serengeti

Depart for the Serengeti National Park, famous for the annual wildebeest migration, when some six million hooves pound the open plains, as more than 200,000 zebra and 300,000 Thomson’s gazelle join the wildebeest’s trek for fresh grazing lands. Even when the migration is quiet, the Serengeti offers arguably the most scintillating game-viewing in Africa:eedom to explore the city and get settled in.

Day 4: Full Day in Serengeti National Park

Depart with picnic lunches for a full day game viewing in Serengeti. Serengeti National Park, known for its healthy population of resident wildlife, particularly the “big five”, named for the five most prized trophies taken by hunters: The Serengeti is believed to hold the largest population of lions in Africa due in part to the abundance of prey species. More than 3,000 lions live in this ecosystem. African Leopard, these reclusive predators are commonly seen in the Seronera region but are present throughout the national park with the population of around 1,000.

This expansive park is also home to the Great wildebeest migration as well as home to around 500 bird species have been recorded ranging from the outsized ostrich and bizarre secretary bird of the open grassland, to the black eagles that soar effortlessly above the Lobo Hills.

Day 5: Northern Serengeti National Park

Depart with picnic lunch to discover the quiet safari trails of the Northern Serengeti on a guided game drive. You’ll explore the glorious landscapes of the Northern Serengeti.

Explore the Northern Serengeti and get to know one of the park’s most beautiful corners. Wildlife viewing is excellent all through the year, but that is especially the case whenever the migration passes through. This is also the area of the park that sees the fewest visitors, which means you can enjoy the river, grasslands, rocky scenery and the animals without interruption.

In Lobo, Bologonya and Mara regions in North Serengeti we can spot the Great Migration during summer (July to October), the herds move north and aggregate before crossing Mara River full of big crocodiles.
